For the person who has everything…

My mum has a lot of jewellry. It’s a bit of a running joke in my family where my sister and I attempt to steal various bits of shiny and my dad (in on the joke) goes ‘oh has she given you that?’ to which my mother never fails to get indignant that no, she has not given it to us. Our excuse is that she has so much what are a few rings and earings? So one year on a birthday/anniversery/christmas my dad gave my mum a jewellry box, inside was another box which said ‘For the Person who has everything.’ Inside this box is a badge that says ‘I have everything’. Mean. But funny.

I, however, truly have found a gift for the person who has everything.

I was bumming around on the internet the other day and in honour of zombietalk Thursday on Twitter I typed in ‘zombie art’. I came across a rather interesting take on the ’send me your photo and I’ll draw it’ website. There’s a guy called Rob Sacchetto who (for a small fee) will recreate your face in zombie fashion. Yes. You heard me right. Send him a photo and he’ll send you back a beautifully rendered picture of what you would look like a zombie. So next time you’re pondering what to get Gran for her birthday, maybe give Rob a call. I know I will.

Mother is clearly descended from magpies. She actually tackled me one time to get back a bracelet. The British and Irish Lions would have been proud.

I took a ring once and dad actually said “If you lose it, don’t come home.” I was like “Yeah, don’t worry I wouldn’t…”

I moseyed on over here after your comment on my blog and now I’m intrigued by the idea of obtaining a portrait of a zombie spud!

Well I moseyed over to your website after seeing your comments on my sister’s site (angrybrit) so it’s like a big circle of intrigue. Maybe that’s why they call it the web….
