Maybe this will be the inciting incident that causes FIFA/IFAB to stop saying 'non, ve are old men and ve like incidents like ziss'. FIFA are always going on about 'bringing the game into disrepute'. I think they do a great job of doing that themselves - when everybody in the crowd can see what happened (because they are higher up and don't suffer the foreshortening effect of being at ground level) - and millions of people watching on TV (with the benefit of replays from dozens of cameras) - it becomes impossible to respect the decisions of the match officials.
